Description

A rewrite of an ethics opinion that says lawyers must tell the court if their clients are using an alias will not be altered by the Professional Ethics Committee, despite impassioned pleas from some criminal defense attorneys. The committee, which met June 20 during the Bar's Annual Convention in Boca Raton, declined to amend Proposed Advisory Opinion 90-6, with members saying they are only interpreting existing Bar rules which in turn mandate the opinion's conclusions.
